The Weight Of Silence by Heather Gudenkauf

The Weight of SilenceThe Weight of Silence by Heather Gudenkauf
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Two young girls (Calli and Petra) have gone missing one early morning in a small Iowa town.  Slowly through the voices of the many characters, including the girls themselves, this mystery of these missing girls is unraveled.  The reader learns the inner most thoughts of each of the characters and their relationships

I love the way this book was written, where each chapter is in the voice of a different character.  I found it interesting that Calli was written in 3rd person but the others were in 1st person.  But it was to me, written like a diary, where everything was in stories of the past.  I enjoyed some of the twists but the book itself dragged on a bit for me in places, since it didn't seem to be in the current moment.  But all in all I enjoyed it because it was written so different.

I gave this book a B- (Good).  I liked it, but didn't love it.
